Fat Loss 4 Idiots Review

Fat Loss 4 IdiotsFat Loss 4 Idiots has definitely created a lot of buzz as one of the more popular online diet programs you'll currently find. The problem I found with it was that it is a lot more hype than actual help. Here's a closer look at why I say that.

Fat loss 4 idiots is based around eating 4 meals per day that include different food groups that will keep your metabolism running high. In turn, this causes you to lose fat more quickly and the pounds that go with it.

I will say that this diet program, despite its name, is one of the more easier to follow diet plans available. After you purchase the program and download their Idiots diet guide, you'll also have an online menu generator where you choose from among your favorite foods. Now this sounds pretty nice; pick your favorite foods and it gives you a complete 10-day menu. But is it really? You may find out differently in a minute.

The program calls for you to follow their diet plan for 11 days, followed by 3 "free" days where you can eat whatever you want. (That's an issue in and of itself right there. You simply can't stuff yourself full of pizza and burgers and expect to continue losing weight the other 11 days) OK...let's get into the program and see where the issues come into play.

First, the Idiots diet handbook is of little value to the average person. It contains nothing more than a lot of old information on things we all know. For example, get some exercise, drink lots of water, don't eat a lot of fast food, don't eat late at night, and the list goes on. OK, I can live with that, maybe someone out here doesn't know the reason they are overweight is because they don't get any physical activity except for the TV remote, and they eat at McDonalds or make too many runs for the border at Taco Bell at 11:00 at night! For the rest of us, there is nothing new to be learned.

Secondly, let's go to the meat of the plan, the online menu guide. It's a handy online tool that generates your meal plans for the next 11 days. When you get started you are given a large list of foods to choose your top 15 favorites from. You do this twice under 2 categories. Some of your choices include fish, chicken breast, cottage cheese, yogurt, tuna, vegetables, etc.

From your choices the generator gives you an 11-day menu. The problem is, your choices are far too limited. You are eating the same foods over and over again 4 times a day...day after day. Now this may not bother some, but many will only give up because of boredom and having to continue eating the same thing. After 2 weeks on the plan you'll be grasping at wanting to eat something different.

Finally, one of the things that struck me the most was the complete lack of any customer support system. There is no phone number, no email address, nothing at all. You're on your own if you have any questions or support issues. In this day and age I find that ridiculous. It speaks volumes when you won't even offer support to your own customers.

Verdict

I'm not trying to beat up Fat Loss 4 Idiots. The premise behind it is great. Eat the right foods that will boost your metabolism and you'll burn more fat. That works and I will say that if you follow the program precisely as laid out you'll most likely lose weight. But when you consider the cost of the program and what you get, along with the complete lack of any customer support, and the boredom that will set in, it's just not worth it. There are far better online diet and fitness plans available that offer a lot more than this program. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Fat Loss 4 Idiots. I give it 1 out of 5 stars.
